    Alexandra Gilliams is an art historian, curator, and lecturer pursuing a PhD in Art History at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Her research investigates the aesthetics, politics, and visual cultures of artificial intelligence in contemporary art, with a particular focus on spectacle, critical imaginaries, and the infrastructures that shape perception.

    She is a visiting scholar at the Bibliotheca Hertziana – Max Planck Institute in Rome, as part of the Machine Visual Culture research group, and is an assistant curator for an upcoming exhibition at the Museum of Art, Architecture, and Technology (MAAT) in Lisbon. She was a curatorial assistant for the exhibition The World Through AI at the Jeu de Paume in Paris. She teaches courses on art and AI and regularly presents her research at international conferences.
